OCD/Anxiety
Answers to Common Questions about OCD/Anxiety Treatment
Do you specialize in working with OCD and Anxiety?
Yes, I specialize in treating kids, teens, adults, and families impacted by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder/PANS/PANDAS and Anxiety related disorders (Generalized anxiety, panic, health anxiety, phobias, etc).
What treatment modalities do you use?
I am trained through the Behavioral Tech Training Institute via the International OCD Foundation on the gold standard treatment method for OCD which is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, called Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) has also been added as an evidence based effective intervention for OCD treatment. I use both ERP and ACT, along with psychoeducation, family-based intervention, play techniques, and experiential approaches depending on one’s unique needs. I also am trained in administering evidence-based SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) to work with parents in relieving their child's anxiety/OCD. See information on parenting groups here.

Intrusive thoughts, fears, anxieties, obsessions and compulsions can be debilitating and get in the way of living the life you want to live. I believe in working collaboratively to get you and/or your family to a place where your lives are not limited by nor interrupted by anxiety.
